Welcome to Transplant Care Companion. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our mobile application and services. By creating an account or using our app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

By accessing or using Transplant Care Companion, you agree to:

• Comply with our Privacy Policy
• Accept all risks associated with using health management technology
• Be at least 13 years of age (or have parental consent)

• Create a unique password and keep it confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access

• All activities that occur under your account
• Logging out from shared or public devices
• Notifying us of any security breaches

3.3 Accurate Information

You agree to:

• Enter accurate medication, dosage, and schedule information
• Update your information when it changes
• Not rely solely on app reminders for critical medications
• Verify all entered data for accuracy

4.1 Permitted Use

You may use our app to:

• Track your medications, vitals, and medical expenses
• Scan foods for general safety information
• Ask general health questions to our AI assistant
• Access your personal health records

4.2 Prohibited Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the app for illegal activities
• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to hack, compromise, or interfere with the app
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the app
• Use the app to spam or harass others
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Access other users' data without authorization

5.1 Our Rights

We own all rights to:

• The Transplant Care Companion app, code, and design
• Our logo, branding, and trademarks
• All app content, features, and functionality

5.2 Your Rights

You retain ownership of:

• Your personal health data
• Content you create (medication notes, chat messages, etc.)
• Photos you upload (food scans)

5.3 License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not sublicense, sell, or redistribute our app.

By using our app, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

7.1 No Guarantee of Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee that:

• Data will never be lost (always maintain backup records)
• Features will work perfectly on all devices
• The service will never be interrupted

7.2 Maintenance and Updates

We may:

• Perform scheduled or emergency maintenance
• Update features, change functionality, or remove features
• Suspend the service temporarily for technical reasons

You should:

• Not rely solely on our app for medication schedules
• Maintain backup copies of important data

8.1 Free Service

Transplant Care Companion is currently free to use. We do not charge for:

• Account creation
• Core features (medications, budget, food scanner, chat, vitals)
• Data storage

8.2 Future Premium Features

We may introduce premium features in the future. If we do:

• We will provide clear pricing and feature descriptions
• Core features will remain free
• You can choose whether to upgrade
• We will notify users at least 30 days before charging

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We disclaim all warranties, including:

• Merchantability: That the app is fit for your specific purpose
• Non-Infringement: That use won't violate third-party rights
• Accuracy: That information provided is complete or error-free
• Reliability: That the app will always function correctly
• Medical Outcomes: That using the app will improve your health

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

10.1 No Liability for Damages

We are NOT liable for:

• Any health complications, injuries, or medical issues
• Missed medications due to app errors or notification failures
• Incorrect food safety information
• Data loss, corruption, or unauthorized access
• Financial losses from budget tracking errors
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities

10.2 Maximum Liability

Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed:

• The amount you paid us in the past 12 months (currently $0)
• OR $100 USD, whichever is greater

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Transplant Care Companion, its developers, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the app
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
• Medical decisions made based on app information

12.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Contacting us to request account deletion
• Your data will be deleted within 30 days
• You may export your data before deletion

12.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• Abuse or misuse the service
• Pose a security risk

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your access to the app will be revoked
• Your data will be deleted per our retention policy
• These Terms will remain in effect for past activities

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date
• We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification
• Your continued use after changes indicates acceptance
• If you don't agree to new terms, you must stop using the app

14.1 Governing Law

Our app uses third-party services (Cloudflare) for hosting and infrastructure. These services have their own terms and privacy policies, which you should review.

Acknowledgment: By clicking "I Agree" during account creation or by using Transplant Care Companion, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
